Wide Open — Prepared for Charlotte de Witte · Full 2026 run, 20 dates · Interactive budget, all levers yours

Wide Open Newspapers × Charlotte de Witte

One limited edition per tour stop — 20 dates, July–December 2026 · never reprinted · never discounted
01 — The idea, simply

A limited edition, numbered

A newspaper made for this one night — the room, the date, the set, the writing — a different edition for every stop. Every spread opens into a wall poster with real text on the back. Your visual language is already the one newsprint does best: hard black, blown-out white, no gradient to lose. Run capped and numbered; when it sells out it is gone forever — scarcity is real and dated, so it carries a higher price point than a poster.

02 — The two financial structures

Who pays, who earns what

Structure 1 — We finance it

~$103,900 to Charlotte de Witte

Wide Open pays for everything — design, print, shipping. Costs recoup off the top, then the net splits 60/40 in the artist's favor. You write no checks and carry zero risk. For a run this size, this is the structure we'd honestly recommend. ~$42,900 limited edition + ~$61,000 open edition — both are modelled below and every date is tickable.

Structure 2 — You finance it

~$161,600 to Charlotte de Witte

You cover production at cost~$31,400 upfront across both products (print ~$19,900 + our design & production fee: $500 per stop on the limited, $5,000 flat on the open edition) — and keep everything else. It beats Structure 1 from the baseline up — push price or the % of the room and the whole upside is yours. Baseline is the 13 printable dates at 3% of the room, $30 a copy limited, plus a 5,250-copy open edition at $25.

03 — Product A · Limited edition

Limited edition, numbered — one per stop

Every number is a lever — drag them and the whole run recalculates. Tick and untick dates to build any subset of the tour. Capacities are our estimates of the crowd at your set, not gate totals — true them and everything moves.

Print cost is dynamic — computed from our printer's volume curve and held between $2.00 and $3.00 per copy at any run size: currently . Split fixed at 60/40 in the artist's favor (Structure 1). Design & production (Structure 2 only): $500 per show — one edition, one design, per stop.

Click any row to include or drop that date. Build the whole run, one city, or anything between — every figure above follows.

Tick a row to include it. Capacities are estimates of the crowd in front of you, not gate totals — at a festival you are one of many stages, which is why the default % sits low. Headline venue shows are where the % lever should be pushed.

Methodology per our standard model: hall fee on venue sales · 5% shrinkage & CC on venue gross · print costed on volume tiers · excludes sales tax.

04 — Product B · Open edition

Open edition — one paper, the whole run

One design for the entire tour, printed in a single run and sold at every stop. Not numbered, not dated to a night — it closes when the tour closes and is never reprinted. One print run means the volume tier drops, so it costs less per copy and carries a lower ticket than the limited.

One run, one volume tier — print held between $2.00 and $3.00 per copy: currently . The two levers are linked: drag total copies or the average share of the room and the other follows, measured against the dates ticked above. Design & production (Structure 2 only): .

Same date list as Product A — tick rows in the table above and this recalculates too. Copies are spread across the selected stops in proportion to the room.

The open edition is the volume play: it prints cheaper, prices lower and travels the whole tour. The limited is the scarcity play. Most runs carry both — the limited sells out early at the table, the open keeps selling after it is gone.

05 — How it runs

Production & next steps

EditorialBuilt in the KNTXT visual language — high-contrast stills, stage and crowd photography, the record and label history, writing on techno as a practice rather than a genre note. Imagery under one-time license, commissioned, or straight from your creative team. Approval at concept, layout, and final — every page.
Logistics2–3 weeks concept-to-print per edition, run in parallel across stops. Production and shipping are one week; design is the only real variable. Shipped with the merch, sold through your existing table and POS — no staffing burden.
Next1 · Pick product and structure. 2 · Cut the date list to the ones you want and true the crowd estimates — everything recalculates. 3 · Archive access + concept session. 4 · Lock the first three stops; the rest follow the same template.
